It’s a… Brick House
It was a perfect evening for a full-bodied cigar as a cool spring night was surrounded by an air show for Thunder. Barges were in place on the Ohio and so were 4 Brick House Robusto’s with ratings of 4 to 4.5 stars and an 88 to 92 rating.
I decided to sample the cigar with some experienced smokers. Besides the strong ratings, this Nicaraguan cigar is also acknowledged as one of the best affordable cigars on the market. A product of J.C. Newman’s, the Brick House Robusto offers a full, smooth taste with hints of pepper and cedar with a woody profile. This affordable, highly rated cigar is not for the beginner who may be seeking a milder cigar.
Out of the four cigars that were burnt, the responses ranged from a good to great cigar and definitely would have a place in their humidors. One of the Robusto’s had a significant uneven burn. Whip out the brandy to draw out the flavor and you will have a great evening. For the price, you can’t beat it. I found mine at the Cox’s Smokers Outlet on Hubbard’s Lane in St. Matthews.
