Holiday Smokes

It’s that holly jolly time of year and you want to share a smoke with friends, family or perhaps just with one of them because as we all know there is enough stress this time of year so keep it simple.

There are plenty of great choices out there for cigars as the year ends and tobacconists and cigar makers are trying to move inventory for tax reasons and to make way for the goods that begin to arrive in the new year. So go to your local shop and talk to the guys and gals behind the counter, tell them what you like to eat, drink or typically smoke (most folks behind the counter will do just that if you are new to the shop or just passing through) so they can pair a cigar in both size, blend and content to your palette. The average price of a hand rolled premium cigar in the U.S. is less than $10.00 USD so you do not have to go broke with the Holiday approaching but I do recommend spending a little more then you typically might since it is the holiday and you deserve it.

1) Viaje Holiday Blend Edición Limitada 2016 release is a 6 x 54 box-pressed vitola. The details of this year’s release have not been disclosed but last year’s release had a Habano Ecuador/Brazilian Arapiraca combination for the barber-pole wrapper so confidence is high that this one is a real gift too.

2) LH Maduro Lancero a new 7 1/2 x 42 line extension to the LH Maduro line coming from Costa Rica and at 42 ring gauge this is a HUSKY lancero as its just a bit larger than the typical lancero. The blend utilizes an Ecuadorian Criollo Maduro wrapper over a blend of Brazilian, Nicaraguan, and Peruvian tobaccos and as a lancero it delivers more bold flavors than other sticks in the LH line which is a great surprise; especially if you like surprises during the holidays.
