We attended the 3rd annual Louisville Mashed which claimed to offer “Great Bourbon for a Great Cause” And indeed it was both. The event, which was held at the Frazier Natural History Museum this year, featured beer tastings from West Sixth Brewery, wine tasting by Jester Winery, Delicious food provided by Bourbons Bistro, The Hub, Mastersons, Marketplace, Art Eatables and Silver Dollar.
Another great feature of the event was the networking with over 400 Louisville area professionals. Louisville Mashed is a community of professionals who are passionate about bourbon and its intersection with networking and philanthropy. Louisville Mashed plans bourbon-themed events to provide the opportunity to share in these delights with like-minded folks.
They have established a long-term relationship with Family and Children’s Place as their non-profit partner. All proceeds from Louisville Mashed went to benefit Family and Children’s Place including the proceeds from a silent auction.
Also loads of fun was a “Guess the Bourbon’ contest, inviting guests to “test their taste” by sampling 9 different bourbons wrapped in plain brown paper bag sand record your guesses for a prize at the end of the night.
