How did your childhood prepare you for your work today?
Growing up on a farm outside Bowling Green, KY, taught me the work ethic that helps me assist my clients in tax issues, as well as financial questions or other issues they might have. Also, working in my Mother’s florist after school honed my customer service skills in my teens.

How do you define success?
Loving what you do, and being good at your professional. It is amazing, but after 33 years in public accounting, I still love what I do. My clients seem to pick up on that.

What are four criteria that you believe are essential in leadership?
Being willing to do any task that I expect or ask my employees to do, professional ethics, love what you do, integrity

What is one piece of advice you would give a young person who wants to become a future business leader?
Get involved. That means in professional groups, non profits, and your community. And give 110% effort in these areas.

Someday when they write your eulogy, you hope they say . . ..
He loved life, his career, and his fellow men and women.
