A Taste of The Highlands
A Taste of the Highlands is a fundraising event raising money for Highlands Community Ministries, which provides food, emergency financial help and quality-of-life programs to its clients. This year it fell on Fat Tuesday, so the Mardi Gras connection was on display with beads, New Orleans fare and King Cakes.
Many Highland restaurants such as Jack Fry’s and Eat-A-Pita were represented with tastings such as Red Beans and Rice from Bristol Bar and Grill, Gumbo and other specialties from 15 other restaurants.
Maker’s Mark sponsored the event as well as Great Flood Brewery and Cumberland Brews for the evenings potables (and trust us – they were MORE than potable!
